Most movies I watch that are based off of books just ruin the book for me. After reading the book, I’ll see the movie and honestly, one bad movie can just ruin the entire series. On the other hand, there’s a chance the movie can be good too (Harry Potter for example) but I’m kind of doubtful for Twilight. Everyone has their own version of how the movie should be and no matter what, people are going to be disappointed. Take the movie Eragon for example. After watching it, the movie was so horrible that I didn’t even feel like reading the rest of the books. None of the actors and actresses fit what I imagine the characters to look like, and I’m a little bit doubtful right now but all I can do is wait to be proved wrong.

I think it’ll be good. Not excellent, but decent.
However, I cannot WAIT for the HBP movie! I’m going on opening day, November 21st!
huuuuummm… not all the character were like I imagined, esph. edward and alice, and rosalie too, sshe doesnt look drop-dead gorgeous enough. also when edward runs it looks like hes flying. annnnnnddd edward seems like a bit more of a creep towards bella in the movie as apposed to the book. But it does seem like ti will be very good, I am exciiiiited!!
I think it will be bad, and I’m getting pretty upset that people are comparing it to Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a million times better than Twilight.
I do think it will be a big hit though, because all the crazy preppy girls want to see Edward Cullen. Ugh!

I think it will be okay. Nowhere near as good as the book. It will probably ruin a lot of the images I had in my head with the characters and everything. And the actor playing Edward looks nothing like I imagined him to look, which is a bad thing.
I think it will be good whether it lives up to the book or not but, already I have seen things that haven’t happened in the book or dialog from the book being said in different scenes or part of scenes getting cut out.
Example: The whole "how long have you been seventeen" conversation happened in his car not in the woods.
They don’t fly from tree to tree.
When Bella tells him that she isn’t afraid of him and Edward says you really shouldn’t have said that, he tackles her onto his couch NOT throwing her on his back and flys out of the window. I think the couch situation is cuter and its funny that Alice and Emmett/Jasper (can’t remember which one, ah! lol) come to the door wanting to know if he killed her or not.
I know it’s nothing big but, it’s little details so I don’t know why they are changing it. I guess I will have to keep reminding myself that it is an adaption. lol.
I think it will be on the middle, since the characters isn’t what I’ve imagined it… I agree that maybe after reading the book, I would get dissapointed in the movie… Alice didn’t catch up with the one on the book, or may because the cullens in the book are just too perfect to be a human…
I basically agree with everyone else. the characters arent how i pictured them, and it seems scarier than i pictured, but i think it will be decent. (i totally had a different picture of emmett and carlisle. and laurent. and esme. oh and bella)
I think it looks pretty good. I’m going to go see it. I imagined Edward Cullen to be a lot better looking, and Bella to be milder and meeker than the teaser trailer showed her. I agree with the other person who said when Edward runs in the trailer it looks like he is not running, but indeed flying.
I think it will be okay. The only reason I think that is because Twilight is mostly a love story. There is only about 100 pages of true action. So I think its silly to make the movie an action movie when it is more about love. I just think they might of wanted a broader audience or something so they made the movie mostly about James’s hunt.
I also think the only reason they chose Kirsten Stewart for Bella is because she is really good with horror movies. But good choice for Edward. Robert Pattinson is hot, perfect, and he has the perfect Edward stare.

I mean, it will NEVER be as good as the book but nothing is.
I just hope it isnt cheesy and stupid.
Everyone is criticizing Edward, but is there really ANY actor that meaures up to the level of Edward’s perfection???

I think it looks… well actually i think that it looks VERY good because the actors very much well resemble the characters from the Twilight series. I also think that they did do a good job with some difficult scenes, like the fight scene with James. But i also think that they could have gotten a little bit more acurate, yay Twilight series CAN’T WAIT FOR BREAKING DAWN.! [:
I think it will be very different from the book, but still good. Hopefully the changes to the story will be for the better.
i really think the movie will be great. though edward is not the hottie i imagined but bella looks perfect and i really think they will get the movie the way it should be! i really hope people will like it because stephanie meyer says if the people’s reaction is good they will make another movie and so on.
so i really cant wait because the serioes is so addicting
I think it will be AWESOME, in my opinion. Based on all the trailers and stuff behind the scenes, it seems pretty good. Although some of the characters weren’t exactly how i pictured them(bella, alice, and laurent), i know it will be a big hit and on the top of my list of favorite movies. But i think the book will still, and always will be, a bit better than the movie.

i think it wont be as good as the book… because the scenes just seem rely different and some of the good stuff in the book arent even going to be in the movie. i also dont rely like who they picked for bella!!
Okay everytime I see a question like this and the answers I get aggrivated. I hope everyone is reading this.
Okay to star things off. Edward. In the book stephenie made him a beautiful, handsome guy. I think Robert is the best they could get. When I first saw hisnameon the cast list I freaked too, but now I have grown to like him and love. You think its easy to recieve all this criticism from all of you? He didnt back down. If you got hate mail telling you that your a horrible actor and you shouldn’t have been cast, how would you feel? Plus, his English accent is flawless. You haters out there dont give him a chance. Go see the movie then tell me how much you hate him. Not 5 months befoe the movie is coming out. Please.
Next. *clears throat* the movie itself. You think they can squish a 500 page book into 2 hours? Look at harry potter. People complain that its 4 hours long. (not that I would mind watching the twilight movie for four hours (:). They can’t fit every single page into the movie. I understand they are switching it up a but but they can’t put everything in the movie. The reason why we love thse books so much is because every page is amazing. They can’t film every page.

Just wait for the movie. Appreciate what they are doing. Their hard work. We’re lucky they are even making twilight a movie. Stephenie is being compared to j.k. Rowling! Just please. Patience. I personally think all of the actors and actresses are perfect. Of course not in the beginning. But I have grown to love them. And IIIII can’t wait for december 12 at midnight, 12:01am, in line, to see Twilight, my favorite book of all time, become a motion picture.

I know that after I watch the movie, I’ll probably fall in love with it, but I’m just saying, Twilight is too good a book for any movie to make something better of it!!!!!!!!!!!!! (does that make sense?)

I think the movie will be ok…not the best movie of the year or anything but ok…also I kinda got my hopes up but when i saw the dude they cast as Edward, I didn’t feel like I wanted to go see the movie….Edward was not how i pictured him….and Robert acts all freaked out by Bella in the movie…so i don’t know…I know that the movie will be nothing like the book..but yeah nobody can complain about the movie now…but i’m not that excited about the movie….it just doesn’t seem right…the characters are off and many peoples thoughts will be crushed because the characters don’t look like they’re supposed to….
